Adopt Me!

Adoption Process 

Before adopting an animal into your home, we will ask you to fill out some paperwork and answer a few questions. You will be asked for proof of identity and also for veterinary references. This is for the well being of the animal you wish to adopt and for any pets you may already have at home. After visiting with the animal you're interested in, you will have a counseling session with a staff member who will inform you of the history, special needs, and food and exercise requirements.

Feel free to ask questions about spaying or neutering, house training, obedience training, controlling fleas and ticks, and anything else you are concerned about.

You will be asked to sign an adoption contract and to pay the appropriate fees. Adoption fees are as follows:

Seniors pay $80.50 for dogs, $40 for cats!
Senior Dogs $50.50 / Senior Cats $25

The dog and cat fees cover the veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, de-worming, vaccines, license, microchip identification, initial dose of flea control, a free starter bag of Hill's Science Diet food, and a free health exam voucher. Microchip identification "tags" can also be purchased at the shelter for your pets at home.

The following are just a few of the dogs, cats, and other pets at the shelter who are waiting for new homes. There are plenty more who are just as adorable and who are also in need of responsible guardians. Shelter hours are Monday - Friday 11 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Saturdays and Sundays 12 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.
